STELLA DJAVKAROVA, M.Sc., P.Eng. LEEDR AP BD+C
Stella is a senior structural engineer and the director of business development of MWS Engineering Inc. and has extensive experience in commercial, residential, institutional, recreational and industrial projects.
Working with a variety of different materials and with over 35 years experience working in Canada, USA, Caribbean countries, Malta and Bulgaria, Stella has experience in earthquake design, design for cyclonic winds, low temperature, dynamic and special loads, and structural assessment and remedial measures to existing structures.
Stella has designed, schools, assisted living facilities, churches, office buildings, medical buildings, retail buildings, luxury homes, condominiums, warehouse support structures for the oil and gas industry hotels and high-end resorts.
Stella’s responsibilities on previous projects have ranged from Project Design Engineer for many traditional and complex multi-disciplinary projects, including a $100 Million Portomaso Hilton Re-Development project in Malta, management and coordination of a multi-disciplinary team, to a part time lecturer in reinforced concrete at the College for Architecture and Civil Technology in Sliven, Bulgaria.
Stella has a Master of Science in Structural/Civil Engineering from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy-UACEG in Sofia, Bulgaria
Stella is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Alberta, the Association of Structural Engineers in Bulgaria, and LEEDR AP BD+C
